Have you ever had the pleasure to visit a winery in New England? Did you just go and purchase wine? Did you stay for a wine tasting? Did you take a vineyard tour or barrel room tasting? Did you find a wine you liked? What was your favorite? Many of the wineries in New England are small and family owned, and they love to have visitors. They cater to the novice wine drinker to the expert…the ONLY wine that is good is the wine YOU like! Tasting wine at a local winery is the best way to learn what wines you like.
I am not a wine connoisseur, and will never pretend to be one…. I have been fortunate to visit several wineries in New England and enjoyed every one….from the picnics with the scenic vistas, the wines, the history, meals, ambiance, each one is unique and worthy to celebrate. As I visit wineries, I will write what I liked about that particular winery, and hope you will visit also and let us know what you enjoyed there…
When my friends visited from New Jersey we went to 2 local vineyards. We did not care for an unnamed one but LOVED Running Brook in North Dartmouth. Manny and his wines were great. I am happy that we can get his wines in Falmouth at John’s. He did offer to come to our house for a wine tasting for $20.00. I did not take him up on the offer but would be interested to know if the offer still stands and if anyone has had an in home tasting of the Running Brook wines. I prefer reds and their Cabernet Franc is great and affordable.
New England Vine is devoted to the bringing you the best of the New England wine culture. Paul and Debbie Gentile of Cape Cod sponsor this site and welcome your comments.
