Maybe it’s not too late.. the WGBH FINE WINE AUCTION is on Saturday, March 28th at our new Brighton studios. A Boston tradition since 1984! The evening begins at 4:30 with an elegant hors d’oeuvres and wine reception as you examine the lots of wine. From 6 - 8 pm, join the spirited bidding as auctioneer Marie Keep, Director of Fine Wines at Skinner’s, entertains you with insights about the wines as they are presented.
Please visit auction.wgbh.org to view the lots. The exceptional wines have been chosen from private cellars and vintners from across the country - a 2000 Chateau Petrus, 1963 Croft Vintage Port, and a 1996 Robert Mondavi Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon magnum signed by Julia Child and Robert Mondavi.

I have tickets to a wine festival…where do I begin? What should I taste first?
We are fortunate to have several wine festivals in New England…just to mention a few coming soon…the Nantucket Wine Festival, Cape Cod Life’s Food and Wine Festival, Mashpee’s Night of 100 Wines, and Divas Uncorked.

Wine tasting at Liberty Liquors in Mashpee on Saturday, May 9th from 4-7. I have been to wine tastings there before and had a great time. There is a discount on the wines too and I have discovered some good affordable wines there at past tastings.

Saturday, May 9th was a busy day for wine tastings. I started at Libery Liquors in Mashpee, they had over 20 tables with several wines to taste and great prices on their wines. If you didn’t make it last week, you are in luck, they are having a tasting on May 16th at Liberty Liqours in Buzzards Bay.
Falmouth Wine and Spirits, on Palmer Ave had a full house when I arrived for their wine tasting! There were several select wines for tasting and I was happy to see Ballet of Angels available for tasting. This wine is from Sharpe Hill Vineyards in Pomfret, CT.
I had a little break for dinner and then it was on to Sepia for a chocolate and wine tasting..yum..yum that is all I have to say. Wendy Talks Wine does a great tasting and the chocolate selections were heavenly!
As many of you know, I think one of the best ways to learn about wine and find wines you may enjoy, is to go to a wine tasting! I was sorry I was not able to make it to Kenyons, everything took longer than I planned…I’ll go there first next time.
